9:00am Friday Westside Ice vs. Prince George Thunderbirds (win for Prince George 10-1)

Alisha Carlson leads off the game with a home run over the center field fence. Just shy of a cycle she hit 1 double, 1 triple, and 1 homerun. Alisha also obtained 2 rbi’s.

Courtney Gordon pounded 2 line drives past short stop for 2 singles.

Amanda Asay ripped Dudley’s left, right, and center for 3 singles and 2 rbi’s.

Chelsey Thorne brought in 2 runs with a shot over the left center fence and brought in 3 rbi’s in total. 

The winning pitcher of the game was Karen Espiritu with 7 strike outs, only giving up 2 hits.

2:00pm Friday Langford Lightning vs. Prince George Thunderbirds (win for Prince George 5-0)

Courtney Gordon worked very hard for 1 double and 3 rbi’s. She pitched 3 strong innings and struck out 5 batters, 4 of whom were caught looking.

In the 4th inning Karen Espiritu stepped in for relief when the bases were loaded. She struck out 5 batters in total and finished the game.

Overall this game was a great team effort and everyone made their own contributions.
